Description
George Pérez - Silver Surfer Specialty Illustration Original Art (1979). The Sky-Rider of the Spaceways streaks across the cosmos, firing at an unseen foe in this early illustration by George Pérez, whose composition bears a striking resemblance to the Silver Surfer pin-up he penciled the year before in Rampaging Hulk #8. Pérez would later come full circle with the character, handling Silver Surfer art duties in 1995-96. Created in ink and marker over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9" x 12". Slight toning, a hint of foxing, minor spot stain, and light handling wear. Inscribed in the lower right and in Very Good condition.A portion of the proceeds from this auction will benefit The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) and the Hero Initiative.
