DescriptionGeorge Perez, Jim Lee, Alex Ross, Todd McFarlane, Erik Larsen, Brent Anderson, and Others Wizard: The Comic Magazine Unfinished Jam Poster Illustration Original Art (Wizard, c. 2000s). A mammoth project that could conceivably still be completed by someone someday! There are 100 characters penciled into this piece in the overall layout. They are numbered, but sadly, the key is missing. There are 18 figures fully inked (barring characters partially in front of them.)
George Perez inked the Starfire, Wonder Woman, Scarlet Witch, and the Beast figures. Spider-Man and Spawn are both by Todd McFarlane ('natch). The Hanged Man and Jack-in-the-Box (both from Astro City) are by Brent Anderson. Savage Dragon and the Thing are by Erik Larsen. Jim Lee supplied the Grifter. Batman, Danger Girl, Fairchild, Grunge, Roxie, Burnout, and Rainmaker are all by J. Scott Campbell. Alex Ross did the Superman in the top center. It is thought that George Perez handled the overall rough pencil layout for this piece.
Rendered in blue pencil, graphite, and ink (gouache on Superman) on oversized Bristol board with added 'wings' of board on the side (attached with tape on the back) for an overall size of 39" x 23". There is onionskin paper taped over the Superman figure to protect it while others work on the board. The tape has left some residue on the artwork. Lightly toned, with slight corner and joint wear. In overall Excellent condition.
