Description

George Herriman archy does his part Interior Illustration Original Art (Doubleday, 1935). "I met an avalanche coming down" Archy the cockroach is running for his life! It is from the selection titled "archy climbs everest". Archy's poems and the book titles have no capitalization as he is but a cockroach and has to hop from key-to-key to type. So he cannot use the Shift Key. Poor Archy. The art, by famed creator of Krazy Kat George Herriman, was rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 5.75" x 8.25". Signed with an "H." in the upper right. The lightly toned board has foxing, some glue residue, and minor stains. In Good condition.
