Description
George Barr The Dying Earth Original Art (Underwood Miller Publ.,1976). In 1958, Barr committed himself to science-fiction fandom, then broke through in 1962 to commercial publishing. He delivered extensive artwork for Jack Vance's The Dying Earth. This finely rendered ink-on-Bristol piece has an image area of 5" x 7.5", and is in Excellent condition. Notes on the reverse designate a spot illustration for the book's tale of the "Turjan of Miir." The provocative caption reads, "You are my sister, and I will love you."
