Gene Day and David Day Dark Fantasy #16 Original Art (Shadow Press, 1978). The Days bring vividly to life a poem by Conan creator Robert E. Howard, "The Ghost Kings," which originally saw print in Weird Tales magazine (1938): "The ghost kings are marching; the midnight knows their tread... From the distant, stealthy planets of the dim, unstable dead..." The ink-over-graphite composition reflects the influence of a famous Weird Tales artist, Virgil Finlay. Signed by David Day at lower margin. Image area, 8.5" x 12". Moderate toning. Excellent condition.Auction Info
