    Description

Gary Panter - Pee-wee Herman and Pterri Illustration Original Art (c. 1980s). Emmy Award-winning artist Gary Panter designed many of the sets and props used in Paul Rubens' CBS-TV series Pee-wee's Playhouse. Here's an illustration of Pee-wee and his animated Pteranodon pal Pterri. It's drawn in ink on acetate that has some inked lines scratched for a "scratchboard" effect. The acetate measures approximately 11.5" x 9.5" and has slightly buckled but is otherwise in Excellent condition. It's been hand-signed by the artist to the lower right of Pee-wee. Also included is a reduced-image, touched-up paper print that has a circular line-art framing element added which has also been signed; it's in Very Good condition.
