Gary Halgren Crazy Super Special #79 Inside Front Cover and Pull-Out Stickers Original Art Group of 5 (Marvel, 1981). A CRAZY special fold-out "Looney Labels" section offered wacky replacement package labels. The inside front cover page introduces this gag that puts the gag in "gag". It features everyone's least favorite clown, Obnoxio. Created in ink over blue pencil on actual real Marvel Bristol board and signed by Gary Halgren in the image area. After the fact, someone has created low-res replacement text balloons (the square ones), and adhered them directly to the original art leaving sticky glue residue on and around them. The page also appears to have been chewed in the upper right corner by a large animal. There is a wonderful fake Morton's Salt label created in ink on illustration board with an image area of 16" x 7.5". Aside from "Morbid" and "Fallout", all other text on the label is low-res paste-up stuck directly to the artwork with sticky glue residue on and around it. Lastly, there are three pages of fake product label art. One for "Blastco", another for "Human Beinz - Type O Plasma", and one that has two labels for "Bumble Bees (in a Tin Can)". Half of the "Blastco" label is low-res printed reproduction affixed to the page with glue. This in turn was affixed to a low-res reproduction of Marvel's vintage Bristol board stock (leaving sticky glue residue). The "Human Beinz" label has some low-res reproduction text affixed to the original art, which in turn was then glued to a low-res reproduction of Marvel's vintage Bristol board. Lastly, the "Bumble Bees" labels are 99% low-res reproductions and they are affixed to a low-res reproduction of Marvel's Bristol board that is blown up in scale to accommodate the reproduction label sizes. The only thing on this page that is original is the "Good Beekeeping" oval, which is hand-lettered. Overall in Very Good condition, but be advised that a lot of this is reproduction work.
