Frank Miller Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Model Sheet Illustration Original Art (DC, 1985). Reference material created by Frank Miller for his seminal Dark Knight Returns series is always hard to find and highly-sought by his fans. And you could hardly ask for a better piece than this striking image featuring two angles of an aging Bruce Wayne, and a stoic Batman. The Wayne heads were printed in Comics Collector #8 (Krause Publications, Summer 1985), and again in the 1986 hardcover Dark Knight Returns collection produced by Graphitti Designs. This reference piece was crafted in ink over graphite on a 17" x 14.25" Bristol board section. The board is toned, with a tiny bit of foxing. In Very Good condition.
