Description

Frank Frazetta The Son of Tarzan Unpublished Book Cover Illustration Original Art (Ace, 1965). The saga of Korak is the subject of this classic Edgar Rice Burroughs story, and who better to illustrate the 1965 paperback edition than Frazetta? This then, is an ERB fanboy's dream come true -- an original pen and ink on board illustration from the period where everyone became enamored with Frank Frazetta's work. This was an alternate version of the cover, not used for the book (which included a similar version with a more detailed background). The art has an approximate image area of 3.75" x 4.5"; it's been matted with the book's title type and framed with glass for an overall size of 10.75" x 13.5". Frazetta's published Tarzan work from the sixties rarely comes up for auction, so hone your bidding skills for this treasured prize! Excellent condition.
