Description
Franc Reyes Tarzan of the Apes Original Illustration (1976). Reyes weighed in as an official Tarzan artist during the 1970s at DC Comics, delivering finished art over basic layouts by master illustrator Joe Kubert. This stand-alone piece finds the Kubert influence to persist. Reyes' signature is calculated to resemble that of a definitive Tarzan artist, Frank Frazetta. Broad-stroke graphite on lightweight, textured watercolor stock. Image area, 9" x 12". Light toning and one corner-crease. Excellent condition.Auction Info
