Description

Eric Stanton Tin Hats Wartime Daily Comic Strip Panel dated 7-31-43 Original Art (Bell Syndicate, 1943). "Relax, Pal -- there's no strikes, rationing, nor politicians out here -- our only trouble is the Japs!"
Stanton gained youthful momentum with the 1942-1944 run of Tin Hats as a morale-booster feature for the Allied Forces. His ambitions led to formal art-schooling, complicated by a 1947-66 affiliation with the bondage-erotica publisher Irving Klaw. Ink and crayon over graphite on Coquille board with an image area, 6" x 7". Light toning, with handling wear, and in Very Good condition.
