Edd Cartier The Apache Ghosts Illustration Original Art (King Features Syndicate, 1948). Cartier was a dependable illustrator of syndicated prose thrillers for King Features. His style reflects the pulp-fiction and film noir traditions. This tense encounter appeared with author Walt Anderson's The Apache Ghosts, which also appeared in Feature Productions' The Detective Stories magazine (U.K., 1949). This piece, ink/crayon over graphite on toned illustration board, has an image area of 6.25" square. Very Good condition, with marginal handling wear and age-toning.
