Description

Don Simpson and Tom Lyle - Spider-Man/Nightcrawler/Wolverine Commission Illustrations Original Art Group of 3 (1985-87). Three great examples of fun color commission pieces by a couple of very talented comic artists! The Spider-Man and Nightcrawler are both by Don Simpson, well-remembered for his hysterical send-up of the comic genre in Megaton Man. Tom Lyle gives us a great looking Wolverine, as well. This fierce and bloodied-clawed Logan is sporting his brown costume from his later 1980s run with the X-Men. The Simpson pieces are ink and gouache paint on 8.5" x 11" paper. The Lyle piece is ink and crayon over graphite on 9" x 12" paper. All are signed and dated. In Excellent condition.
