Description

Don Heck - Miscellaneous Illustrations Original Art (undated). This practice page was laid out like a Sunday comic strip, and even includes the hand-lettered logo for Mary Worth. The panels are full of portraits ranging from silly to serious to scary, including the large monster face on the back. Heck may have written "BAD" in the top corners of the page, but we politely disagree. Looking at these pencils and inks, it's a real shame Heck didn't ink more of his own work. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board measuring 17" x 11". Board is moderately toned with light handling and edge wear. Smudges, stains, and soiling. In Very Good condition.
From the Roger Hill Collection.
