Description
David Wright - Esmé Illustration Original Art (1937). Esmé is ruminative, arms crossed and eyes downcast, captured in an image as beautiful as it is timeless. Brush and ink on art board with an image area of 11" x 13". Moderate handling wear, smudges, and spot stains throughout image area. Dated at the bottom right. The reverse seems to display a map and Wright practicing signatures of prominent people, including his own signature and others such as Esmé, Duke Ellington, Adolf Hitler, Groucho Marx, Greta Garbo, Lord Baden Powell, and more.
