Dave Dorman X-Men Illustration Original Art (Marvel, undated). Artist extraordinaire Dave Dorman aptly handles the reins of this magnificent rendering of Marvel's mightiest mutants. This illustration (noted on the back as an unpublished promotional piece), and painted in oil, is a perfect blend of fantasy and reality set against a luminous background. Dorman achieves an incredible level of realism, loading his palette with emeralds, aquamarines and rich blues. You have to see this piece in person to realize how striking the color combinations are.
