Galactus may consume worlds, but here he lets his arrival be announced in triplicate -- three striking heralds who guarantee all eyes are firmly earthbound before the cosmos comes calling. Italian artist Daniele Afferni, who first established himself in the fine art world with exhibitions in London, Berlin, and New York before returning to his first love of comics, brings a painterly intensity to the composition. In an interview with ArtStation Magazine, Afferni cited this take on the iconic Fantastic Four villain as a recent favorite, created for a private collector who fell for a digital version first exhibited in Milan. Created in ink and watercolor on watercolor board with an image area of 11" x 16.5". Signed and dated by Afferni in the lower right image area, and personalized on the reverse.
