Description

Cy Hungerford Rotating toward Mexico City Specialty Illustration Original Art (c. 1950s). Pittsburgh Post-Gazette editorialist Hungerford chronicles a Rotary International Convention trip through Mexico. The title itself is a fine pun, and the rambunctious wit persists throughout the montage of cartoon vignettes. Among the dignitaries pictured are Pittsburgh dairy owner Ed Rieck and prominent livestock executive Harry Parker. Hungerford caricatures himself at lower right. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 12" x 17.5". Moderate toning. Excellent condition. From A Collection of Great Cartoonists and Illustrators.
