Description
Curt Swan and Karl Kesel Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe #17 Nightwing and Flamebird Illustration Original Art (DC, 1986). Inspired by Kryptonian birds, Nightwing and Flamebird began as Superman and Jimmy Olsen's alter egos combating crime in the bottled city of Kandor. Later adopted by Kandorian scientists Van-Zee and Ak-Var, the personas influenced Dick Grayson to become Earth's Nightwing after retiring as Robin. The heroic duo are featured on this page from the popular Who's Who index of DC heroes. Crafted in ink over graphite on DC Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 10.5".
