Carl Barks "Sheriff of Bullet Valley" Illustration Original Art (1996-97). One of every Carl Barks fan's favorite Donald Duck stories has to be Four Color #199's classic saga, "Sheriff of Bullet Valley." This fun color pencil/pastel illustration of Donald cooling off his red-hot pistols while Huey, Dewey, and Louie look nervously on is a variation of the original 1948 comic book cover art, which has been the subject of several Barks paintings. This piece has an approximate image area of 10" x 12.75", and is in Excellent condition. The art has been professionally matted and framed with glass to an overall size of 20.75" x 23.5".
