Description
Boody Rogers - Leroy Splash Page Original Art (c. 1950). The name "Boody Rogers" may not be familiar to the casual comics fan, but is well-known among dedicated collectors of bizarre comics. In addition to assisting Zack Mosley on Smilin' Jack, Rogers had his own strip, Sparky Watts, which had a long run in Columbia's Big Shot Comics. Leroy was a teen strip (like Boody's similar Dudley), and this ink on bristol page has an image area of approximately 12" x 17"; it was at one time part of Joe Simon's collection. Other than a slight bit of soiling, it's in Excellent condition.Auction Info
