Description

Bob Lubbers - Long Sam Illustration Original Art (2000). Long Sam, that boo-tiful mountain maiden, was the star of her own comic strip series. If she seems like a lost resident of Dogpatch, USA, that is because she was created by Li'l Abner's creator Al Capp with Bob Lubbers. The series was similar in tone and chock full of Lubbers fantastic Good Girl art style. This original piece is created in ink and color markers over graphite on bright white 11" x 8.5" Bristol board. Inscribed "For My Friend Shaun Clancy" in the bottom, it is signed and dated by Lubbers. In Excellent condition. From A Collection of Great Cartoonists and Illustrators.
