Bill Ward Laugh Riot August-1962 Single Panel Gag Cartoon Illustration Original Art (Humorama, 1962). "You'll find no finer upholstery anywhere!" Maybe so, but we think he's looking for a recliner at the moment. This gag is a fine example of the lovely detail work that Bill Ward was producing at the time. Things worth noting are the print on the salesman's suit, and the stunning detail work on the woman. The gag was reupholstered in the January-1970 Fun House Comedy. Created in charcoal with white paint highlights on art paper. Signed in the lower left of the 17.5" x 23" image area. The art paper has been affixed with production tape to a slightly larger Bristol board. Toned and in Very Good condition.More information about Bill Ward.
