Description
Bill Ward Laugh Digest Single Panel Gag Cartoon Illustration Original Art (Humorama, 1961). "I see on your application form that under sex, you wrote 'I'm crazy about it.' " As over-the-top and funny as that line was, when this gag was reprinted (at least three more times) it has a different punchline! We know it showed up in Romp October 1971, and also on the inside back cover of Popular Cartoons January 1977. Created in ink and Conte crayon with white paint highlights on 13.25" x 18.5" paper. Signed in the lower left. This is affixed to a slightly larger Bristol board backing. Both are toned and in Very Good condition.More information about Bill Ward.
