Description

Bill Ward Humorama Publication July-1967 Single Panel Gag Cartoon Illustration Original Art (Humorama, 1967). "I understand you're married now - Whereever did you find a man with so much pluck?" These two Ward Girls have a chance encounter on the street. Both are glamourous and lovely, but the points on those gloves make the raven-haired woman look quite dangerous! Created in ink, charcoal, and white paint over graphite on 17" x 23.5" onionskin paper. Signed in the lower center. This has been affixed with production tape to the slightly larger backing board with the hand-written punchline at the bottom. The back of the board is noted as being first printed in a July 1967 title, but could also be a reference to a July 1962 edition. It was for sure reprinted in the June 1970 Laugh Digest. In Very Good condition.
