Bill Everett - Kirby-esque Space Warrior Illustration Original Art (undated). You can almost feel the Kirby-krackle from this tribute piece by Bill Everett! He obviously was doing a piece inspired by Jack "King" Kirby's cosmic styling. From the horned helmet, to the fin on his head, to the pulse-pounding pose, this is spot-on. In addition, it is rich in his own signature draftsmanship -- clean lines, highly detailed, and with some rich and bold color work. It's a beauty, and on back of the art, Everett was having fun goofing with his and Kirby's names; e.g., "Billever Jackby" and "Billjac Everby" were among several faux "signatures". The image is edge-to-edge on the paper in ink and watercolor over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 11.25" x 17.25". Pinholes and corner wear, otherwise in Excellent condition. From the Bill Everett Family Collection.
