Bill Davis - "The Tonight Show" Title Card Illustration (NBC, 1977). Here is a scarcely-seen piece of seventies TV memorabilia -- a colorful title card illustration by Bill Davis that reads "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.". This lighthearted scene would show up when the "Tonight Show" took its station breaks. Rendered in mixed media and acetate (which has been mounted to a 12" x 8.5" sheet of illustration board), the piece is in Excellent condition, and was signed by Bill Davis at the lower left.Auction Info
