Description
Bernie Wrightson - Specialty Illustration Original Art (1992). Wrightson's perfectionism caused even his less detailed sketches to have the look and texture of finished art. This feral gorilla image bears the evidence of a thoughtfully composed pencil sketch, beneath the layered and textured felt-marker inking. This untamed illustration by the master of the macabre was created in ink over graphite on illustration paper with an image area of 11" x 14". There is light marginal smudging, and soft creasing.
