Description

Bernie Wrightson Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley's Frankenstein Illustration Original Art (Marvel, 1983). Be sure to examine the level of detail on this piece with its lovely crosshatching work! This one appears towards the end of the book and is captioned "In about a week after the arrival of Elizabeth's letter we returned to Geneva." Elizabeth is Victor Frankenstein's beloved who alas will be one of the monster's victims just a few pages later. Wrightson's Frankenstein is a revered labor-of-love in the Comics industry. He started working on illustrations for it in 1977 and continued until the book was published in 1983. Created in ink over graphite on illustration board. Signed in the bottom left of the 11" x 16" matted image area. Plexiglas front framed to 22" x 28". In Excellent condition.
