Basil Wolverton Ugly Hang-Ups Poster #11D Illustration Original Art (Topps, c. 1965). Known to only a few collectors, the Ugly Hang-Ups are perhaps one of Wolverton's most interesting works. It is believed that Hang-Ups, which was supposed to contain 18 different posters, were a 1960s Topps test issue. It is reported that only 12 of the 18 planned Hang-Ups ended up as printed material. Although all 12 known Hang-Ups were drawn by Wolverton, it is rumored that a 13th poster (#18) was drawn by Wally Wood but has not been seen. This Basil bombshell of ink and pencil on board has an overall size of 14.5" x 21", and the art is in Excellent condition.Auction Info
