Description

Barry Kitson - Batman and the Rogues Gallery Illustration Original Art and Print Group of 2 (2018-19). Batman's Rogue's Gallery is perhaps the most famous of all time, with many of Gotham's most notorious foes and fiends nearly as recognizable as the Dark Knight himself. Symbolically rendered here enclosed within Batman's cape in the shape of the Bat-symbol, Kitson has masterfully managed to illustrate a starling lineup of Batman's most notorious villains in one single piece, including Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, Man-Bat, Riddler, Penguin, Two-Face, Joker, Mr. Freeze, Catwoman, Mad Hatter, Clayface, Solomon Grundy, and others. Included here are the original pencils and a print copy of the final piece. The pencils were rendered in graphite on Bristol board with an image area of approximately 15.75" x 10" (the print shares the same image area). Both pieces exhibit light smudging/ handling wear, are signed by the artist, and are in Excellent condition.
