Alex Nino Satan's Tears: The Art of Alex Nino "Maiden Voyage" Original Art (Land of Enchantment Publ., 1977). A bizarre space vessel takes flight with a determined helmsman in this grand-scale composition from one of the most renowned artists to come out of the Philippines' comics tradition. The extraordinarily rare vision was created in 1974 for Nino's signature showcase book, a limited edition of rare illustrative power. This extraordinary piece, reminiscent of Jack Kirby's powerhouse style, is rendered in ink, ink-wash, and controlled white-spatter technique (the deep-space cameo areas at upper left and lower right) on textured illustration board. Edge-to-edge image area, 30" x 20". Very Good condition, with light scuffing and spot-staining.
