Alberto Vargas Carmen "Smuggler's Cave" Movie Concept Illustration Original Art (c. 1936). Alberto Vargas is best known for his pin-up work, but the accomplished artist also provided illustrations for various movie studios, such as these for the 1936 film Carmen. Mixed media on 11" x 8.75" onionskin paper that has been affixed to 20" x 15" illustration board. There is mild toning, handling wear, corner nicks and creasing, spots of soiling.
