Al Hirschfeld Marjorie Main in Film "Rationing" Original Caricature (1944). Nobody could capture Old Hollywood's Marjorie Main in abstract lines quite as effectively as Hirschfeld. The ink portrait, here, is a variant semi-profile consistent with Main's movie-poster image (with Wallace Berry) for their 1944 M-G-M comedy, Rationing. The distinctive Hirschfeld signature appears at lower right. Illustration board, measuring 6" x 8". Deeply age-toned. Very Good condition. From the Jack Kent Collection.More Information: Corrected to identify Marjorie Main, the film Rationing, and its year, 1944.
