Al Banx - Editorial Cartoon Illustrations Original Art Group of 5 (Worcester Telegram and Gazette, undated). Al Banx was celebrated in his hometown of Worcester, Ma as "everybody's cartoonist." His editorial cartoons and strips ran for decades in the Worcester Telegram and Gazette. Here are five great examples of Banx' breadth and depth with subjects ranging from poignant (Santa seeing a note on the chimney from children) to pithy (the chaos of a relaxing backyard cookout). All are undated. Produced in ink over graphite on various illustration boards (including one on Craftint) with image areas ranging from 5" x 7" to 13" x 7". Condition varies. Boards are lightly toned with some handling and wear, scuffs and scrapes. Production notes in graphite. Overall condition is Very Good.Auction Info
