    Description

Ham Fisher Studio - Joe Palooka Sunday Comic Strip Original Art, dated 9-5-43 (McNaught Syndicate, 1943). Sammy the piano player is a real Hun-killer in this Sunday, perhaps inspired by filmed scenes of Sam the piano player of "Casablanca" fame. This strip was cut between panel tiers two and three. The combined image area of this strip measures 16.5" x 22". Aside from some overall aging, glue staining to the title logo stat, and some minimal scattered soiling, the art is in Very Good condition.
