    Description

Hal Foster Prince Valiant Sunday Comic Strip #1124 Original Art, dated 8-24-58 (King Features Syndicate, 1958). In the third episode of this trinity, "Ghouls," Val is reunited with the mystical "Swinging Sword" just in the nick of time. Hal Foster's figure drawing and impeccable sense of design shine in this example. The image area of this breathtaking Sunday is 23" x 33.5". The top panel tier was cut from the page, and later rejoined with tape on the back of the paper, the title logo is glue-stained, and some of the lettering in the captions has slipped loose; otherwise, the art is in Very Good condition. From the Don Vernon Collection.
