Hal Foster Prince Valiant #1414 Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 3-15-64 (King Features Syndicate, 1964). Prince Valiant and his son Arn set about rescuing Val's wife (Arn's mother) Queen Aleta, in this episode. Produced at Foster's typical huge scale, this piece is crafted in ink and red ink key lines over graphite on three conjoined pieces of Bristol board with a combined image area of 22.75" x 33.75". Signed in the last panel. The logo is a stat paste-up that has discolored. The text elements are printed paste-ups, one is missing leaving glue residue, and others are coming loose. There is some glue residue near the paste-ups, and a bit in the image area of the last panel. The sections are taped together from the backside. Overall, the image area is in Very Good condition with great eye-appeal. From the Ethan Roberts Estate Collection.
