Gil Kane and Joe Sinnott Creatures on the Loose #18 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1972). Gullivar Jones, Warrior of Mars faces the fearsome underwater beast, Phra. This was one of the "picture frame" Marvel covers, though that frame and the lettering on it is missing. Also note that the art was repositioned somewhat for the printed comic and additional water effects were added. The art, done in ink over graphite on Bristol board, has an image area of 10" x 15" and it includes the original logo paste-up. Some glue staining and light soiling. Note that the figures are on three separate pieces of art, all glued to a larger board, and the cuts between pieces go through the figures. There's a tape repair near Phra's left ear. Good condition.
