DescriptionGil Kane and Frank Giacoia Adventure Into Fear #20 Cover Morbius Original Art (Marvel, 1974). Morbius the Living Vampire gets his own solo issue for the first time, so Gil Kane really turned out a blood-chilling cover for it! Having first appeared in Amazing Spider-Man in 1971 (Issues #101, 102, and 105), then a two-issue appearance in Marvel Team-Up (#3 and 4), and his first solo story in the first issue of the Vampire Tales anthology, Morbius was still a relatively new character in the Marvel Universe in spite of being 3 years old. This cliff-edge view cover was rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The logo and head dressing are all stat paste-up. There is a slit in the board around his head to allow the stat logo to slide behind it. This was a common practice at the time. There is a bit of production tape over his head to hold it down. In Very Good condition.
