    Description

George Wilson Buck Rogers #3 Cover Original Art (Gold Key/Western, 1979). Wilson's deep-perspective space-battle composition graced a movie tie-in issue of the series, a resurgence of the pioneering science-fiction franchise. Buck Rogers was a transmedia sensation before there was such a term as transmedia -- from 1920s pulp fiction and newspaper comics to comic books, radio, and old-school cliffhanger movie serials. Acrylics on illustration board. Dimensions, approximately 11.5" x 17". The painting extends well beyond the formal crop-marks. Informative marginal notes contain dates and specifications for reproduction. Excellent condition.
