    Description

George Perez Crisis on Infinite Earths #12 Cover Original Art (DC, 1986). Only an artist of George Perez's caliber could pull off such a successfully clear rendering, with so much going on. The Anti-Monitor mounts an all out attack on the last remaining Earth, the only bastion of light standing in his way of total victory. While the heroes and villains of the DCU wage a war against an army of the villain's Shadow Demons, a contingent of the most powerful beings in the universe take the fight to the Anti-Matter Universe itself. In this landmark climax, heroes will rise, heroes will fall -- and in the end, things will never be the same again. The issue featured the deaths of Dove, the Silver Age Lori Lemaris, the Golden Age Green Arrow, Prince Ra-Man, Robin (Earth-2), Huntress (Earth-2), Kole, the Silver Age Wonder Woman, and also marked the first appearance of Wally West as the Flash. George Perez's mind-blowing scene features appearances by the Vigilante (Adrian Chase), Wildcat (Yolanda Montez), Judomaster, Batman (Earth-1), Robin (Earth-2), Changeling (Gar Logan), Flash (Jay Garrick), Elongated Man, Captain Marvel (Billy Batson), Aquaman, Alexander Luthor Jr., Kid Flash (Wally West), Wonder Woman (Earth-2), Black Lightning, Lady Quark, Black Orchid, Green Lantern (Alan Scott), Martian Manhunter (J'onn J'onzz), The Ray, Air Wave (Hal Jordan), Superman (Earth-2), Black Condor, Kole, Dr. Light (Kimiyo Hoshi), Tempest (Joshua Clay), Hawkman (Katar Hol), Captain Atom, Power Girl, Mary Marvel, Harbinger, Superboy (Earth-Prime), Wonder Woman (Earth-1), Firestorm, Firehawk, Pariah, Superman (Earth-1), and the Anti-Monitor. If that wasn't enough to coax out a top bid -- may we should be permitted to add the obvious? This cover hails from the most important issue from the historic series which rebooted the entire DC Universe. This DC masterwork has an image area of 9.75" x 15", and the art is in Excellent condition. A special effects overlay, drawn in ink on vellum, is also included with this lot.
