    Description

George Herriman archy and mehitabel Page 58 "Broadway" Original Art (Doubleday, 1927). Herriman's comic-strip classic, Krazy Kat, is closely akin to his many illustrations for Don Marquis' archy and mehitabel stories and poems -- about an intellectual cockroach and a regal alley cat. This charming and whimsical piece epitomizes the series. Ink over graphite on Bristol board, with an image area of 8" x 5.5". Signed in the image area. Lightly toned and in Very Good condition.
