Fred Schrier Hydrogen Bomb Funnies #1 Complete 3-Page Story "The Last Laugh" Original Art (Rip Off Press, 1970). Schrier's mastery of detailed crosshatch-inking propels this splendid example of Underground Comix as a vessel for satire and social criticism. The subject is the outbreak of World War III. The full title is "The Last Laugh: A One-Act Play for the Theatre of the Absurd." There is a visual reference to another Underground title of the period, Skull. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 11" x 16". Excellent condition, barring adhesive staining in the upper tier of the first page.
