Description
Fred Ray World's Best Comics #1 Cover Re-Creation Original Art (c. 1980s). This hand painted re-creation by Fred Ray captures his unique and iconic cover of Superman, Robin, and Batman, he originally produced in 1941. Created in ink and watercolor on Bristol board with an image area of 15.75" x 19.5", and was matted to an overall size of 19" x 22.5". The mat was taped along the sides but has come loose, there is light handling and edge wear, with tape and residue on the reverse side. Signed in lower right.
