Frank Thorne Red Sonja #2 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1977). The unmistakable art of Frank Thorne helped to make Red Sonja one of the most popular of Marvel's sword and sorcery titles. This cover gives us a great full body view of her in her famous chain-mail bikini with that great ornate shoulder harness. The rest of the page is covered in hyper-detailed bits that make this a fascination piece! Much of that detail was lost in the color reproduction on the printed cover. This piece is ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 16.5". The page is lightly tanned, with pinholes in the margins, and a touch of stain on the left margin; however, the image area is in Excellent condition.
