    Description

Frank Robbins Johnny Hazard Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 7-21-68 (King Features Syndicate, 1968). Heroic Johnny Hazard ponders the complications of a Third World revolutionary uprising. Tensions and intrigues galore, rendered in Robbins' bold and virile style. It was during this same period that Robbins (as a writer and contributing artist) joined DC Comics to stir up some revolutions of his own with a tough revisionist approach to Batman, among other signature characters. The Hazard episode, here, comprises ink over graphite on Bristol board, measuring 24.25" x 16.5". Moderately toned, with two conspicuous patches of missing dialogue, scattered adhesive and rust stains, and a torn/wrinkled logotype. Good condition.
