    Frank R. Paul Famous Fantastic Mysteries V4#5 September 1942 Page 49 Illustration Original Art (Frank A. Munsey Company, 1942). Ray Cummings was a featured writer this issue, with his story "A Brand New World." This illustration by noted science-fiction visionary Frank R. Paul ran as a spot illustration for that story on page 49. Ray Cummings is credited with the line "Time... is what keeps everything from happening at once." The description text from the story for this image is written on the backside and reads "The brawn with the knife sprang at Zetta, and she called on her insect guards for help." Signed in the image area and on the backside. The artwork is ink and white paint over blue pencil on illustration board, with an image area of 18.5" x 19.5". Slight tanning with corner/edge wear. The image area is in Excellent condition.
