    Description

Frank Miller and Joe Rubinstein Wolverine Limited Series #4 Page 2 Original Art (Marvel Comics, 1982). Frank Miller orchestrates the mounting tension like no other comic artist could for the concluding issue of Wolverine's Japanese adventure of love, duty, and honor. Joe Rubinstein's inks add a crisp finish to the art. Looking for some original Frank Miller art to beef up your portfolio? Well, here's your chance, bub! Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The page is slightly toned, considerable ink smudging, three of the four corners are cut, there's a long crease that starts on the right middle edge and almost makes it to the left edge. There's a .5" tear where the crease begins, and staining on top right corner. Signed in the right margin by Miller. In Very Good condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
