Frank Frazetta - Thuvia, Maid of Mars Illustration Original Art (Science Fiction Book Club, 1972). A fantastic and exhilarating inked image by master draftsman Frank Frazetta, depicting Thar Ban racing away on his thoat with Thuvia his captive. It would be nearly impossible to list Frazetta's many accomplishments in this space, but his work connected with Edgar Rice Burroughs' John Carter of Mars series is highly prized by collectors of his work. This ink over graphite piece is produced on Bristol board with an image area of 11.5" x 10" and is signed in the lower right. On the reverse side, the board itself is seen to be part of a print of Frazetta's unused Buck Rogers cover for an issue of Famous Funnies that was reworked for use on Weird Science-Fantasy #29. The original Barsoomian art is Excellent condition.
